Radio 3 are repeating Finlandia, my play about Sibelius, on Sunday, 28th May at 9pm as a tribute to the much-missed Tim Pigott-Smith, who so sadly and unexpectedly died on 7th April.
Third performance of Mars and Venus at the Courtauld Gallery today. The room was packed and the dancers did wonders in the space available. They were deservedly given a very warm reception at the end. There's one more performance already booked for the Swaledale Festival in June but hopefully that won't be the end of the project.

Very successful first performance in St. Mary in the Castle, Hastings.on Sunday 27th. Congratulations to the whole team!

Evelyn Nallen writes:
Booking can’t be done at the Courtauld. People will have to pay to get into the Gallery and then what’s on (guided tours etc and us) is free. The seating will be on a first come basis. It is a lovely room (Room 6 I think) in a wonderful building but not a great theatre — but we’ll do our best!

My radio dramatisation of Vanity Fair has finally made it on to cd. You would be hard pressed to find my name mentioned on the box or in the publicity but at least it's out there at last.
Hedley England (producer) and Simone Vause (director) are keen to set up a stage production of my play Double Jeopardy and are hard at work finding suitable venues.
Just about to start work on the script for a fascinating project - the story of the first English ballet, The Loves of Venus and Mars, created by John Weaver in 1717. Very much looking forward to working with Evelyn Nallen (producer/composer), Jenny Miller (director), Chris de Wilde (designer) and Moira Goff (Dance Historian) on this. First performances are planned in Hastings in late February 2017. More details later!
