Had a great time at Whooverville over last weekend. Particularly pleased to share a platform with Andrew Smith for a Who writers' panel skilfully chaired by fellow writer Ashley Gregory.
Have delivered the final script of my audio drama ME AND HIM AND WHO about John Nathan-Turner and Gary Downie to Barnaby Eaton-Jones and AUK Productions. Hopefully it'll be going into roduction soon.
Very much looking forward to attending Whooverville in Derby on 3rd September.
I am proud to announce that The Wallscrawler is now published and available for order.
Generous praise for the book from Andrew Cartmel, Jessica Martin, Paul Magrs and that master of the short story, Rob Shearman.
Generous praise for The Wallscrawler from Jessica Martin and Rob Shearman:
So, bravo Stephen Wyatt. Looks like you’ve written another opus that will stand the test of time and many dimensions!'
From Rob Shearman:
'Of all the writers in Doctor Who's long history, is there any voice more distinctive than Stephen Wyatt's? He creates strange new worlds that are both crazy and credible, characters that are larger than life and yet achingly, movingly human. I have been in awe of his imagination since I saw it on TV as a teenager. Reading the full range of his work here, in Who and far, far apart from it, is a joy.'
Very excited at the announcement by Obverse Books of the publication in early August of the collection of my short fiction The Wallscrawler and Other Stories.
It comes with a brilliant cover by Cody Schell
Just found that The Complete Ripley (where I did three of the five dramatisations of the Patricia Highsmith originals) has just been reissued by Audible.
