Stephen wrote on a regular basis for Casualty between 1990 and 1993, returning for one final episode in 1997.
In 1994 Stephen contributed two episodes to the third and final series of House of Eliott. This series is now available on DVD.
Stephen’s only screenplay as yet to have reached the screen remains Claws, a comedy about a power struggle in a cat club.
Broadcast on BBC’s Sunday Premiere slot in 1987, it achieved viewing figures of over 6 million. Produced by Alan Shallcross and directed by Mike Vardy, it starred Brenda Blethyn, Simon Jones, Muriel Pavlow and Mary Morris.
