OBLOMOV
My adaptation of Goncharov's Oblomov is currently available on BBC Radio 4 Extra. It's directed by the much missed Claire Grove and stars Toby Jones.

On Thursday 27th I'm guest speaker at the AGM of the Authors' Licensing & Collecting Society (ALCS) held in the radio theatre in Broadcasting House. The theme is radio drama and my starting point the black and white murder movie from 1934 - DEATH AT BROADCASTING HOUSE.
Postscript:
I'm happy to say the talk was very well received. Jonathan Fryer tweeted that "The highlight of today's AGM was a very entertaining talk on radio drama by Stephen Wyatt."
On Thursday 13th November at 7.30 pm in the Waldegrave Room of St. Mary's University College, Stephen and his old friend, the novelist Christie Dickason, will be talking about Writing for Radio and Other Performance.

My dramatisation of Dante's The Divine Comedy for BBC Radio 4 is available on c.d. from 18th September. Regrettably BBC Worldwide doesn't think my contribution important enough to mention it on the box.
Plans are nearly finalised for the unveiling of the Blue Plaque for Sir Fabian Ware, creator of the Imperial (now Commonweath) War Graves Commission. The ceremony will take place on 25th September at 12 in Wyndham Place, W1. Delighted to have been instrumental in creating this memorial to an inspirational man whom I depicted in my play Memorials to the Missing.
Speakers include Professor Ronald Hutton, Chair of the Blue Plaques panel, myself, Professor Gavin Stamp, Air Chief Marshal Sir Joe French, Vice Chairman of the CWGC and Fabian's granddaughter Gillian.
Update 25th September.
The Blue Plaque is now in place! Thanks to all who contributed.
