Plans are nearly finalised for the unveiling of the Blue Plaque for Sir Fabian Ware, creator of the Imperial (now Commonweath) War Graves Commission. The ceremony will take place on 25th September at 12 in Wyndham Place, W1. Delighted to have been instrumental in creating this memorial to an inspirational man whom I depicted in my play Memorials to the Missing.
Speakers include Professor Ronald Hutton, Chair of the Blue Plaques panel, myself, Professor Gavin Stamp, Air Chief Marshal Sir Joe French, Vice Chairman of the CWGC and Fabian's granddaughter Gillian.
